For those candidates without a degree, GLF SCITT offer support to candidates to consider a degree route into teaching.
GLF SCITT have a partnership with Brighton University and Buckingham University to offer candidates some options to gain a degree and then be supported into a teacher training route.
Undergraduate Teacher Degree Apprenticeships in Primary and a range of Secondary Subjects with Brighton University
GLF/IFT is working with Brighton University to offer these Teacher Degree Apprenticeships. collaborating with the University of Brighton:

The Secondary Teacher Degree Apprenticeship route in a range of subjects is a 3 to 4-year course leading to a degree and Qualified Teacher Status. Your employing school will pay your salary as per your Apprenticeship contract. You will have 20% of the job training with Brighton University, which will be a range of include a range of remote, in-person, and self-study components.

For those candidates without a degree but who want to ultimately to train to teach with GLF SCITT, we offer a degree route for Teaching Assistants and other adults supporting pupils in school.
GLF SCITT have a partnership with Buckingham University to offer candidates some options to gain a degree and then to train to teach with GLF SCITT as a postgraduate trainee teacher.
BA (Hons) in Primary Education a 3-year course leading to a degree in Primary Education. Candidates can continue to work as a TA or adult supporting children on their regular school contract and complete 10-12 hours a week of online learning over the three years to gain their degree. Once armed with their degree, GLF SCITT can support candidates through a postgraduate teacher training route that is right for them, allowing them to gain QTS.
Eligibility criteria apply.
BA (Hons) in Secondary Education with Maths a 3-year course leading to a degree in Secondary Education with Maths. Candidates can continue to work as a TA or adult supporting children on their regular school contract and complete 10-12 hours a week of online learning over the three years to gain their degree. Once armed with their degree, GLF SCITT can support candidates through a postgraduate teacher training route that is right for them, allowing them to gain QTS.
